Macaroon Ice Cream Sandwich - Epcot Dining

3 Must-Try World Showcase Treats that Beat the Heat

Our calendars tell us that Spring has officially begun, but we could already tell from the rising temperatures in Orlando. While refreshing treats are essential during any day at Disney World, they’re especially vital to survive the 1.2 mile walk around the World Showcase. Ice cream is healthy for you when it’s hot out, right? Anyway, here are our three favorite treats that we find necessary on a hot Epcot day.

L’Artisan des Glaces (France): Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich.

L'artisan des Glaces - Epcot Dining This newer addition to Epcot’s culinary lineup has quickly become a favorite with my family. Cool, rich chocolate gelato is sandwiched between two crunchy, chewy, delectable macaroons. Served up in a cute newspaper wrapping, eating one of these will make you feel practically Parisian despite the beating Florida sun above you. This little taste of heaven is one of the best treats in all of Disney World! – $4.25

Kabuki Cafe (Japan): Kakigori

Kakigori - Epcot Dining To those not in the know, Kakigori is a shaved iced treat from Japan. While reminiscent of a Snow Cone, Kakigori has a softer consistency and is traditionally eaten with a spoon. This is the perfect treat for those who want something fruity, refreshing, and light while they walk around the World Showcase. Strawberry, melon, cherry, tangerine or rainbow. $3.75. Snack credit eligible

Italy’s Gelato Stand: Gelato Sandwich

Two ice cream sandwiches in one list? We know, we know, it’s a little repetitive, but this treat is so good, it’s worth it! Head to Italy to get any gelato flavor sandwiched between two chocolate chip cookies. As chocoholics, we naturally recommend the chocolate gelato. $6.75.
