Disney World and Disneyland trip planning is a really great way to experience Disney magic while at home for many fans. While some people focus only on snagging a rare Fastpass or getting a dining reservation at Be Our Guest, for me planning what to wear each day in the parks is just as important. With Disney’s new Instagram walls, everybody wants to look great in their family photos. There are a seemingly endless amount of apparel and accessories to get your #DisneyGram look on point: Rose Gold Minnie Ears, Small World Magic Band, matching Mickey shirts. The list goes on and on. But one item that you shouldn’t overlook is your bag. Besides being a key part of your look, having a good lightweight bag can make or break your trip.

I’ve seen many a lovely designer bag being toted around the parks. This is great for about an hour. Disney days typically involve walking 4 to 8 miles, and sometimes more if you are going from rope drop to fireworks. All of our great designer bags that are wonderful at home are typically not versatile enough for an entire day at the parks. The right bag that is both fashionable and functional can make a good trip a great trip. Through a great deal of trial and error, I have become a bit of an expert when it comes to choosing a purse or backpack for Disney. I’ve put together a list of recommended travel bags that I’ve personally used on my Disney World vacations, perfect for those long hot days in the park.

1) Disney Loungefly Backpacks

These small durable backpacks can hold everything you need for your day around the Magic Kingdom, while still incorporating your favorite Disney characters into your outfit. Some of the options are a classic Mickey Mouse backpack, a gold sequin Minnie Ear backpack that perfectly matches your pair of glittery ears, an adorable Toy Story print ideal for touring around Hollywood Studios, among many many other cute designs. Most likely, there’s a design that features your favorite movie or character. If you want the ideal mix of whimsical and functional, Loungefly is the way to go.

2) Travelon Anti-Theft Crossbody Bag

This bag checks all the boxes. It’s affordable, lightweight, and secure. It also comes in many colors, so you can always match your outfit. Even better for those hot Orlando or Anaheim days? It has a great water bottle pocket.

3) Baggallini Everywhere bagg

This extremely popular travel bag is one of my personal favorites. The Everywhere bagg is versatile as you can use it as a crossbody as well it’s a shoulder bag. The lightweight, easy to use front pockets and zippers gives you easy access to your phone or hand sanitzer, making it the ultimate touring bag. An extra bonus: It features RFID blocking, keeping your personal data safe. It is also available in many color choices.

Number 4 Kipling Women’s Alvar Solid Crossbody Bag

If you’re looking for a smaller bag, this Kipling bag is a very cute way to go. I love the rose gold option for this nylon 10 x 12 bag, and it’s definitely served me well on past Disney World trips.

5) Travelon Anti-theft Signature Slim Backpack

Besides being comfortable, this sleek backpack is a great option for a long day at Epcot or just an afternoon at Disney Springs. It is available in several stylish classic colors, and features a front pocket with easy access to your phone, chapstick, or sunglasses. This bag also features the anti-theft RFID technology.
