If there is a question I get asked all the time as a travel specialist, it’s this: why should I use a travel agent? I totally get it – after all, it’s not difficult to book a trip on your own. But I often say that a Disney vacation is somewhat unique. A Disney vacation can be a serious investment in time and money, and a Disney travel agent can help you plan for your trip so you can make the most out of your vacation.Still on the fence? Here are a few more reasons why you should use a travel agent for your next trip to Disney:
Reason #5: We Disney travel agents are Disney geeks at heart, and we want you to take full advantage of it.
In the world of Google, we have so much information on our fingertips. It’s easy enough to research any question you might have about Disney. But sometimes the information can also be overwhelming! As a lifelong Disney fan and experienced travel agent, I am somewhat like that search engine for your questions – except I like to think that I’m wittier, slightly more entertaining, and can give you information that cuts out a lot of the noise. Will you ever be able to book a dinner reservation for Be Our Guest, you ask? It absolutely can be done – and the best way to do it would be to book your dining reservation at the 180-day mark and start looking for availability towards the end of your trip first and then work your way backwards.
Reason #4: A travel agent will save you time…
Between making your initial booking to planning dinner reservations to finding FastPasses to your favorite rides, planning a Disney trip can be quite time consuming! A Disney travel agent can give you quick recommendations for hotels, restaurants, and rides based on what you are looking for – after all, we’ve done the research (back to Reason #5) so you don’t have to! Oh, and as an added bonus, we can also book all of these experiences for you, so you can spend less time stressing and more time looking forward to your magical adventure!
Reason #3: …and in many instances, money too!
Whenever Disney comes out with a promotion, I look at all my clients’ existing reservations to see who might qualify for an additional discount – because there is nothing I love more than being able to tell a guest that I just reduced the total cost of their trip. (Translation: more room in the budget for Main Street popcorn and Dole Whips!) Outside of the actual booking, Disney travel agents can give you tips so you can save a little here and there too! Here’s a good one: if you are on the Disney Dining Plan and you are traveling during the Epcot Food & Wine festival, save those snack credits for when you are at the Food & Wine booths. Although snack credits are typically redeemed for treats that are around $5 or less, there is an exception for most of the food items served at the Festival. That Le Cellier Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce you would pay $7.75 for in Canada? Use one snack credit instead.
Reason #2: Even Peter Pan needs a little pixie dust – and a travel agent specializing in Disney can sprinkle the magical details that can make your vacation truly unforgettable.
Reason #1: A travel agent will provide you with concierge service at absolutely no cost to you!
That’s right, there IS such a thing as a free lunch. The pricing that you see on the Disney website for your vacation will be the same price you will get with a travel agent – and not a penny more. In exchange for booking with us, you also get concierge service from the initial planning all the way to the end of your trip. We are a quick email, text, or phone call away for any questions or concerns, and we will help with as little or as much planning as you need. And most importantly, we become personally invested with every trip we plan – there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing families and little princes and princesses grow to love and appreciate Disney just like we do!
