Last week, Disney World announced the time and date that you will be able to pre-purchase tickets to the special events going on at the 2012 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival. At 7 a.m. EST on August 14th, booking for the Food & Wine Festival’s special parties and events will become available by calling 407-WDW-FEST. While the Wine and Food Festival is included with admission to Epcot from September 28 to November 12, some of the events require an additional ticket, which we recommend purchasing ahead of time. For more details on these events at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, continue reading.

The popular Party for the Senses returns this year to the World Showplace on October 6, 13, 20, 27, and November 3. The lavish party features an array of cuisines, premium beverages, and entertainment by Cirque de Soleil. This year introduces a third tier of pricing. General admission is $145 plus tax. The middle tier, new this year, gets you a reserved table on the main floor for $170 plus tax. Finally, $270 plus tax gets you a reserved table at the premium Wine View Lounge. The two upper tiers include a specialty cocktail and early admission into the party at 7:15. Gratuity is included in the ticket price, but park admission is required to get in.

Every Wednesday during the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, guests will have a chance to take part of the new Marketplace VIP Access Chef Tour. Beginning at 10:30, participants will get five pre-selected dishes and five beverages (wine, beer and cocktails) as they tour around the World Showcase for a behind the scenes peek from the chefs. The cost for this VIP tour is $90 (park admission is not included).

Also new this year is the Italian Regional Food and Wine Luncheon at Tutto Gusto. The $75 luncheon takes place on Wednesdays and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. and features authentic Italian dishes paired with wines. Park admission is not included. Italy will also feature its “exquisite” White Truffle Lunch on November 4th at Tutto Italia, but no details on pricing were given.

The Food & Wine Festival also features cooking demos and mixology seminars that guests can purchase tickets for. Disney has said that specifics would be announced in late July, and to stay tuned to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival Facebook page. We’ll have the specifics for you here on Guide2WDW, as well as helpful tips for the Festival, once they’re announced. If you’re interested in any of the parties or demonstrations, we recommend purchasing your ticket ahead of time, as these can fill up.
