With the Fourth of July less than two weeks away, people all over the United States are starting to plan how they’re going to celebrate this nation’s independence day. If you’re heading to Walt Disney World on that very patriotic day, good news! As they do every year, WDW will run special Fourth of July celebrations at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. From music to special fireworks displays, Disney World will have plenty to tribute the Red, White, and Blue. For complete details, continue reading about Fourth of July festivities at Walt Disney World.

On July 3rd and 4th at 9 p.m., Magic Kingdom with present “Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky.” This fireworks display over Cinderella Castle is sure to be amazing.

Over at Epcot, the always patriotic Voices of Liberty will be performing their 4th of July Concert at the American Pavilion in the World Showcase. Then on the night of July 4th, IllumiNations will be “enhanced” with “The Heartbeat of Freedom,” an celebration of America that will be added to Epcot’s pyrotechnic show. IllumiNations with The Heartbeat of Freedom will be performed at 10 p.m. on July 4th.

Finally, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will celebrate the USA with the all-new “Rockin’ 4th of July Celebration” Led by a performance of Mulch, Sweat, and Shears, this fireworks and special effects show promises to “bring a new twist to celebrating Independence Day.” The show performs 9:45 p.m. Before the show, DHS will have a performances of Fantasmic! at 9 p.m.

There so much going on at Disney World to celebrate the Fourth that it might be hard to choose which fireworks show to go to. My personal recommendation would be to head to the Magic Kingdom on the night of July 3rd to check out those fireworks, and then head to either Epcot or DHS on the night of the 4th depending on whether you prefer IllumiNations or Rock and Roll. No matter what you do, July 4th will certainly be a special day at WDW.
