Disney has announced that they will be running Annual Passholder previews for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before its August 29th opening date at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida.

These previews will be open to Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Walt Disney World Annual Passholders. If you have one of these passes, you will be able to register for a preview of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. According to Disney, “Capacity is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. More information and registration details for previews will be shared at a later date.”

This seems like a great way for Disney to mitigate some of the demand and huge crowds that are expected to descend upon Hollywood Studios come August 29th. Disneyland’s reservation system for the first 24 days of Galaxy’s Edge’s operation has been a huge success in terms of crowd control and guest experience, so I would anticipate the reservation system to follow a similar pattern at Walt Disney World. We put together tips for making the most out of your 4-hour reservation at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, which could potentially still be relevant for APs going to previews at WDW.

Stay tuned to find out more about previews of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World.
