This October 1st marks the 45th birthday of the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World, and Disney just gave us a sneak peak at special merchandise that guests can purchase to commemorate the anniversary. With a wide selection of shirts as well as a special Pandora charm, Dooney & Bourke bag, and limited edition MagicBand, there’s a good chance that there’s something in this batch that will get you reaching for your wallet.
Most of this merchandise will debut by October 1, while the Dooney & Bourke bags just became available in the Shop Disney Parks app. Read on to see the preview of Disney World’s 45th Anniversary Merchandise
Pandora
Pandora charms have just grown in popularity over the years, and it feels like Pandora’s selection of Disney charms just keeps growing. Their newest addition will be a 45th Anniversary dangle charm featuring Cinderella Castle and the 45th Anniversary logo. This Pandora charm will be available in Uptown Jewelers on Main Street on October 1.
Dooney & Bourke
Dourney & Bourke just debuted an attractive blue bag featuring a pattern full of Magic Kingdom icons, such as Madame Leota from Haunted Mansion, Dumbo, and the clock tower from It’s A Small World. The bag comes in two styles: a smaller bag (11.2 inches wide) for $198 and a larger bag (16.95 inches wide) for $248. It’s currently available in the Shop Disney Parks App, and it will become available in the Emporium on Main Street on September 22.
MagicBand
With an edition size of 3,500, this limited edition MagicBand features some very cool artwork of Mickey Mouse and Cinderella Castle. It will be available in the Emporium.
T-Shirts and Pins
A set of “I Was There” shirts will debut on October 1 in the Emporium. A special version of this shirt will be available to Annual Passholders, and a Limited Edition 3,000 “I Was There” pin will also debut that day. Additionally, Disney will offer a 45th Anniversary Logo shirt in several different styles. The best places to find these shirts and other items of 45th Anniversary at these Magic Kingdom shops:
- Main Street, U.S.A. – Emporium
- Tomorrowland – Mickey’s Star Traders
- Storybook Circus Area – Big Top Souvenirs
- Frontierland – Briar Patch
Also, for those who can’t make it into the parks, Disney Store will offer these limited release attraction-specific t-shirts on their online shop. These shirts, themed after Mad Tea Party, Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, and Swiss Family Tree House, will be available for only October 1-9. It’s so cool to see these shirts dedicated to attractions that don’t typically get the merchandise love. Check out DisneyStore.com/ParkEvents on October 1 to order.
That’s just a taste of the new merch coming to Magic Kingdom. There will also be open edition pins, more apparel, home goods, and more. What are you excited to add to your Disney collection? Let me know in the comments below, or on Facebook and Twitter.
