In an apparent attempt to get me to spend all my money on novelty cocktails, Disney announced a new highly themed bar and lounge coming to Downtown Disney. The new lounge is not only the latest in a slew of new dining options coming to Downtown Disney as it continues its transformation into Disney Springs, but it is themed after one of the most beloved film franchises of all time. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will offer guests the chance to relax and dine in the world of Indiana Jones when it opens in Fall 2015.

As fans may recognize, Jock Lindsey is Indy’s pilot in the films, and he’s apparently set up shop in between Paradiso 37 and BOATHOUSE at Downtown Disney. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar will have an intimate yet fun atmosphere with seating for 150 and decor befitting Jock’s adventures around the world with Indy. With a diving bell booth, propellor ceiling fans, and a steamboat named after Jock’s pet snake Reggie (why’d it have to be snakes?), Hangar Bar looks to rival Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto when it comes to a unique atmosphere to relax and enjoy a drink or appetizer.

Speaking of food and beverage, not much has been revealed yet in terms of the menu. Disney did announce three items: The Hovito Mojito, Air Pirates Everything Pretzels with house-made mustard and beer cheese fondue, and Rolling Boulder Meatballs. I personally cannot wait to see what other Indy-themed concoctions will be available at Jock Lindsey’s. My suggestion: The “He Chose… Poorly,” which is a drink so strong that it will make you age decades and disintegrate after taking a sip. However, that might be problematic for keeping repeat customers coming.
