This is a situation I’ve found myself in a couple of times: After claiming the perfect spot for IllumiNations and enjoying Epcot’s spectacular fireworks, I realize that I’m a bit peckish and could go for a bite to eat. However, as I search, I realize that the park is closed and so are Epcot’s best dining options. This is when I go from peckish to full-out hangry. *Cue grainy black and white infomercial footage of me dejectedly eating a hot dog on the Boardwalk.*
There has to be a better way.
Luckily, Disney is introducing a new dining experience that would have been the perfect solution to my all too true woes. Epcot After-Hours Wind Down offers guests appetizers and beverages from four of Epcot’s popular restaurants. For $35, guests can enjoy small bites paired with a beverage flight at their choice of La Cava del Tequila (Mexico), Tutto Gusto (Italy), Spice Road Table (Morocco), or Rose & Crown Pub (United Kingdom). This dining option runs from 9:20 pm -11 pm from April 17 through September 15.
While a bit on the pricey side, this does sound like a wonderful way to treat yourself and relax after enjoying a nice evening at Epcot. Walking around World Showcase after the crowds have left for the night is one of my favorite things to do at Disney World. Pair that with some tasty food and drinks, and you have a winning combination. Hopefully, if Epcot After Hours Wind Down is a success, Disney will make it a permanent establishment.
Do you plan on trying out this dining package at Epcot? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook.
