Star Wars Weekends - Jedi Training Academy

The Force is Stronger with This One: Extra Weekend added to 2014 Star Wars Weekends.

Star Wars fans will have three extra days of celebration at Walt Disney World this year. Star Wars Weekends, Hollywood Studios’ popular event dedicated to the adventures set a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, has its dates set for 2014, and this year the event has been expanded to 5 weekends spanning from May to June. Keep reading to find out when you should have your finest Jedi robes dry cleaned by.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting May 16 through June 15, Hollywood Studios will host Star Wars Weekends. Expected to return this year are the celebrity meet and greets, elaborate fan costumes, and the wonderfully campy dance off “Hyperspace Hoopla.” The Clone Wars voice actor James Arnold Taylor has been confirmed to return as celebrity host for the event.

Disney has also announced that a new fireworks spectacular set to Star Wars music will take place every night on Hollywood Blvd during Star Wars Weekends.

2014 Star Wars Weekends dates are as follows:

  • Weekend I: May 16 – 18, 2014
  • Weekend II: May 23 – 25, 2014
  • Weekend III: May 30 – June 1, 2014
  • Weekend IV: June 6 – 8, 2014
  • Weekend V: June 13 – 15, 2014

Tip: This event is a ton of fun, and attracts a lot of Star Wars fans. That means that Hollywood Studios gets exceptionally busy during the days listed above. If you can’t tell the difference between an X-Wing and a Tie Fighter, or the name Salacious Crumb doesn’t ring a bell, or just hate crowds, it might be best to steer clear of Hollywood Studios during Star Wars Weekends.
