Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom fans just got another reason that this holiday season will be very merry. Starting on November 9th, guests of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be able to receive a special “Goofy’s Festive Fiasco” Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card. Disney Parks Blog revealed the new card today, with Imagineer Jonathan Ackley describing it as celebrating “the glorious holiday chaos created by Goofy as he attempts to decorate for the season.”

With the description “Botching Christmas decorations / Leads to wacky altercations,” the card shows Goofy very precariously placing the star on his Christmas tree. Here’s the card, and be sure to click for full resolution.
So, how can you get this card? The easiest way is to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, where they will be giving out this special card (and a pack of regular SotMK cards) to guests at the party at the fire station in Town Square. If you’re not going to the party but visiting Magic Kingdom during the holiday season, it’s worth checking at the fire station during regular hours, especially around the last few parties are held. We’ve personally been lucky a couple of times where we have received these special holiday Sorcerers cards the day after the last party is held, because they are trying to give out any extra copies of the card they have. Granted, this was just our personal experience, and we might have just gotten lucky those two times.
Tip: You can still use this spell without having the card. If you download the image to your smartphone, you can hold that up, and the Sorcerers game will read it as a regular card. Just be sure to put your phone on full brightness to make sure the cameras can see the image.
