Are you ready for another Muppet show dedicated to all countries but mostly America? This Sunday, October 2, Sam Eagle, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, and Gonzo will be coming to Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom with “The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History.” Hosted by the unwaveringly patriotic Sam Eagle, this live show will feature the Muppets recreating iconic moments in the founding of the United States, such as Paul Revere’s midnight ride or the signing of the Declaration of Independence. While having popular characters prominently displayed in Liberty Square might fly in the face of the “authenticity” of the land, this could be a fun way to familiarize kids with American history, since the Hall of Presidents is not the draw it used to be. Also, more Muppets in Disney World parks is something I would definitely vote for.

The Muppets Present Great Moments in American History will perform multiple times daily outside the Hall of Presidents. It is promised to feature an original new song as well as classic Muppet humor and antics.
