I used to tour the parks at Walt Disney World only seeking out thrills. I would run from fastpass to fastpass, trying to ride the most rides, and usually ending up exhausted at the end of the day. While I still like to have days where I run around to experience the best rides WDW has to offer, I take a bit more of a leisurely approach, and I’ve found I’ve started to appreciate Disney World and the legacy of Walt Disney just by slowing down and appreciating my surroundings. This has led to a curiosity about the history of the Walt Disney company and the man behind the mouse. It should come as no surprise that Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream has become one of my favorite attractions to stroll through. This gallery has so many great exhibits featuring memorabilia and artifacts from Walt’s life. The museum inside of Hollywood Studios also features very intricate scale models of Sleeping Beauty Castle from Disneyland, the Tower of Terror, Spaceship Earth, and even Tokyo DisneySea’s Explorer’s Landing Fortress. Disney Parks Blog announced a model of the upcoming New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom has been added to One Man’s Dream.

To see the model in all its glory, check out One Man’s Dream at DHS or take a look a this picture of the model of New Fantasyland.

This perspective gives a good view of Storybook Circus and the dueling Dumbos in the dead center. On the left hand side, you can see the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster (it looks to be pretty tall) and both the Beast’s and Prince Eric’s respective castles behind that.

Have you had a chance to check out this model? Do you have any images you’d like to share? Let me know on Twitter or Facebook, or email me at [email protected].
