The Dole Whip used to be a bit of a rarity. You used to only be able to get it by the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland, Aloha Isle at Magic Kingdom, Captain Cooke’s at the Polynesian Resort, and at the Dole Plantation in Hawaii, or so the legend of the soft-served pineapple treat went. Disney has recently expanded the availability of the Dole Whip inside Walt Disney World. For the last two years, it has been available as part of the Epcot Flower and Garden’s food offerings. Starting this week, it seems that the Dole Whip has found another permanent home: inside Animal Kingdom.

The Disney Food Blog reported earlier this week that Animal Kingdom’s Tamu Tamu Refreshments has started offering the Dole Whip. Now, this is the classic pineapple Dole Whip: no swirls and no floats. However, Tamu Tamu Refreshments offers a couple options for adults, as you can get your Dole Whip with a shot of dark rum or coconut rum thrown in. That is an option I’ll definitely have to try out. (Guide2WDW reminds you to please enjoy your rum-based Dole Whips responsibly.)

Dole Whip Menu at Tamu Tamu Refreshments:

– Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve: 3.79

– Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve with Dark Rum: 6.09

– Dole Whip Pineapple Soft Serve with Coconut Rum: 6.09

So now there are three options for getting your Dole Whip at Disney World. Need help deciding which dining option is for you? Check out this handy dandy Dole Whip buying guide, brought to you by someone with literally years of Dole Whip eating experience.

Aloha Isle (Adventureland – Magic Kingdom) – Go here if you want a Pineapple Dole Whip swirled with vanilla or orange, or if you want the classic Dole Whip Float in pineapple juice.

Tamu Tamu Refreshments (Africa – Animal Kingdom) – Go here if you want to spice it up with some rum in your Dole Whip.

Captain Cooke’s (Polynesian) – Go here if you want an absolutely massive Dole Whip. The Dole Whip station is self-serve, so you can make yourself a heaping portion of soft-serve goodness. I once saw someone make a Dole Whip that looked to be a foot tall at Captain Cooke’s. It was a thing of beauty.
