Visitors at Disney World were delighted this weekend to find that Epcot’s newest restaurant, Spice Road Table, had officially opened after a week of soft openings. Guests are now able to try out the small plates that are offered at this mediterranean, tapas style restaurant located on the World Showcase Lagoon. The internet was abuzz with impressions of the new eatery in Morocco.
So what was the verdict?
Initial impressions seem to indicate that Epcot has another winner. The general consensus is that the location on the water of the World Showcase lagoon is stunning. This will end up being prime seating for IllumiNations.
Disney Food Blog was extremely positive about Spice Road Table in their review, going as far to say that they would visit this restaurant even if it weren’t in Walt Disney World. That’s high praise indeed! They raved about the lamb slider, calamari, and salted cod croquettes. The only dish they didn’t care for were the mussels. Be sure to check out their full review here.
Ricky Brigante from InsideTheMagic.net shared his quick thoughts on the restaurant on Twitter.

While most feedback was positive about Spice Road Table, not everyone was raving.
No discounts at Spice Road Table and food choices and quality may not be worth a second visit! pic.twitter.com/QatCvFG0CY
