If you’ve visited Walt Disney World recently, you’ll know that their themed bar and lounge game has been on point. Between Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian, the Indiana Jones-themed Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar, and the upcoming Edison, there hasn’t been a shortage of highly-immersive locales where guests can enjoy a custom cocktail and some appetizers. Apparently, Disney will be dropping in another lounge into this stellar lineup in a somewhat unique locale: The Hollywood Tower Hotel in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, aka the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.

According to the latest Disney Dish with Jim Hill podcast, Disney is partnering with the team behind the Edison, who have proven their mettle when it comes to bringing the glitz and glitter of Hollywood’s golden age to a bar and lounge. Jim Hill also mentioned that Disney is aiming to have this bar open this fall, in time for Halloween. Since Disney’s Hollywood Studios has just recently closed down a slew of attractions and dining locations, the park could definitely use a few more options for guests to spend some time.

Going off of Disney’s track record when it comes to these themed lounges, expect Hollywood Tower Hotel and Twilight Zone-themed drinks and small-bites at this new location. The new bar and lounge will be built just outside the exit of ride, right next to the gift shop. The location after the ride is key, since drinking a Manhattan before plunging up and down several times in an elevator doesn’t sound like the best idea. This lounge will also be a great option for guests who don’t love thrill rides, as it should give a cool, relaxing atmosphere for them to sit and sip while other members of their party go on Tower of Terror.

What do you think about the new bar coming to Tower of Terror? Will you be dropping by for a drink? Let me know in the comments below.
