One of the most coveted (and most expensive) experiences at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is building your own lightsaber at Savi’s Workshop. Since opening at Disneyland, lines for this $200 attraction/souvenir have been significant, with slots for the 14-person workshop all selling out very quickly. You can read my full review of the Savi’s Handbuilt Lightsaber Experience at Galaxy’s Edge to learn a bit more about the process.

If you are on the fence about whether or not you want to put down your hard earned credits for a custom lightsaber at Disneyland or Disney World, or if you just are curious over what the fuss is about, here’s a video of our complete lightsaber building experience at Savi’s. This includes the line where we learned about the four different styles of lightsabers, entering the shop, selecting a kyber crystal, assembling the hilt, and activating the blade. It’s one of the best Star Wars moments I’ve ever had, and the last 2 minutes of the show still give me goosebumps.

If you are a Star Wars fan, you are not going to want to miss this.

Be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more Disney World and Disneyland videos like this one. I took a ton of footage during my first visit to Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland, so expect more videos soon. And let me know in the comments what video you’d like to see next.

Until next time, may the Force be with you.
