A Great Attraction, Worth A Moderate-to-Long Wait
The sign in front of Kali River Rapids says you may get wet. It should be corrected: You will get soaked! Visitors to Kali River Rapids travel in groups of twelve on large circular rafts down the Chakranadi River. While careening down the river, the rafts encounter waterfalls, both riding under and riding over. The raft spins, so it is impossible to know which side of the raft will get wet. Bring an extra set of clothes – including underwear – for after this ride. Also, you are not allowed to take your socks and shoes off, so plan accordingly. If it’s a hot day and you don’t mind getting drenched, this is an awesome ride.
Tips and Trivia
- Bring a change of clothes. Seriously. This is by far the wettest ride in all of Walt Disney World (not counting the water parks). You will get SOAKED. Disney offers lockers at Animal Kingdom for rental. It may be a good idea to keep dry clothes in a locker.
- Keep your feet above the silver ring to avoid getting totally soaked.
