Is it beginning to feel a lot like Christmas? I hope not, because I’m already freaking out at how quickly this year is going by. But if you have a bit more cheer in your heart today, it could be because a beloved holiday tradition is returning to Epcot this year. After skipping 2020, the Candlelight Processional is back, running from November 26 – December 30 as part of the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Disney Parks Blog announced that the festive performance will once again take place at the America Gardens Theatre with an orchestra, choir, and celebrity narrators telling the Christmas story. Details on the narrator lineup and dining packages will be announced at a later date.

One difference from previous years – there will be no guest choirs. As a precaution, all of the performers will be required to be fully vaccinated, so Disney will be expanding their cast member choir for this year. Disney says they are “optimistic that the guest choirs will be able to rejoin us next year for this special holiday opportunity.”

This is one of my family’s favorite things to do when we visit Disney World for the holidays. It’s a wonderful spectacle, and seeing the processional on stage just makes it feel like the holidays are here. I’m really excited to see it return to WDW. Hopefully some of the previous narrators such as Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathon Groff, Isabella Rossellini, or Whoopi Goldberg will return.
