The holidays are returning in full force to Epcot this winter. We’ve already told you about the return of the popular Christmas tradition, the Candlelight Processional. Disney just announced a few more details about what to expect from the 2021 Epcot Festival of the Holidays, which runs from November 26 – December 30. Let’s take a peek at our presents a bit early.
Candlelight Processional Celebrity Narrators
While Disney has not announced a full lineup for Epcot’s Candlelight Processional, they did share a list of celebrity narrators. The first names announced were Chita Rivera, Jodi Benson, Alton Fitzgerald White, Lisa Ling, Steven Curtis Chapman, Blair Underwood and Pat Sajak. More celebrities are promised to be announced in the following weeks.
Candlelight Processional Dining Packages
Disney has also shared that Candlelight Processional Dining Packages will be returning for this year’s Festival of the Holidays. Details remain scarce, but online bookings will start on October 26. Stay tuned for the full lineup of packages soon.
Holiday Storytellers Returning
After missing 2020, the holiday storytellers around the World Showcase will be returning. Here are a few of the holiday traditions you can expect to see around World Showcase lagoon.
- Las Posadas at the Mexico pavilion
- Canadian Holiday Voyageurs in the Canada pavilion
- Chinese Lion Dance celebrating the new year in the China pavilion
- A Hanukkah storyteller along the promenade and delightful holiday storytellers in France, Italy, Japan, Norway and the United Kingdom
- And outside The American Adventure, you can wave hello to Santa Claus as he gets ready for the big day.
Holiday Kitchens and Cookie Stroll
It wouldn’t be an Epcot Festival without some food booths! According to Disney, guests can expect to enjoy everything “from slow-roasted turkey and holiday pot pie to pumpkin gingerbread cheesecake and peppermint sundaes. A new offering, Chestnuts & Good Cheer Holiday Kitchen, will dish out fire-roasted chestnuts and cinnamon-glazed almonds and cashews, filling the air with delightful aromas.”
Guests can also enjoy the Holiday Cookie Stroll, where you earn cookies by eating cookies. Simply purchase five cookies from the official Cookie Stroll locations and get your Festival Passport stamped. Once you have received five stamps, go to Holiday Sweets & Treats to get a specialty cookie.
