A Good Attraction, Worth A Moderate Wait
Genie+ Lightning Lane Available
Take a tour of exotic locales spanning four continents in under 10 minutes on the Jungle Cruise. Guests board a boat that takes them down a river surrounded by foliage, waterfalls, and animatronic animals.
How much you enjoy the Jungle Cruise usually depends on how good your skipper is. Each skipper has a different sense of humor and delivery, so the jokes can range from eye-rolling to hilarious. However, even with a bad skipper, the Jungle Cruise can be a fun time for the whole family.
During the holiday season, Disney transforms this into the Jingle Cruise. While the queue has an intricate holiday makeover, the ride itself is not much changed other than Christmas-themed jokes by the skipper.
The Jungle Cruise/Jingle Cruise is a fun ride, and it’s a throwback to one of the original rides at Disneyland. It’s worth checking out, but probably not worth more than a 30 minute wait at the most.
Tips and Trivia
- This attraction has Fastpass+. Lines can get a little long during peak hours at peak seasons, but the Jungle Cruise often has short lines. A Fastpass+ reservation might be better used on other attractions.
- Skippers sometimes fire a cap gun in the hippo pool. This loud noise can startle some guests.
- Rivers you “visit” on this ride include the Amazon and the Congo.
