Located right next to Tower of Terror, Rock N Roller Coaster is Disney World’s most intense roller coaster. So, what is this ride all about? Look no further than the name. With two loops and a corkscrew, it is the only roller coaster at WDW with an inversion, and with a soundtrack featuring the greatest hits of Aerosmith blaring throughout the ride, it definitely rocks. The attraction’s scenario is pretty straightforward: The members of Aerosmith need to get to their Los Angeles concert and fast. As Aerosmith’s special backstage guest, you are invited along for the ride. Guests board stretch limosines that shoot into darkness at zero to sixty miles per hour in under 3 seconds. The coaster zooms through neon-lit twists and turns, as Aerosmith’s most famous songs blast in the rider’s ears. As the only ride with at Walt Disney World that sends riders upside down (with a corkscrew and two loops), this ride is one of the most intense experiences you can have.

Tips and Trivia

  • Rock N Roller Coaster is among the most popular rides at Hollywood Studios. Get a Fastpass+ reservation to avoid long lines.
  • The soundtrack includes “Love in an Elevator” and “Walk This Way.”
  • On the first inversion, riders experience more Gs than a space shuttle launch.
  • Set in Los Angeles in gridlock, this is actually a less intense experience than L.A. traffic.

Disney has done it again, but does this surprise anybody? This has got to be the most exhilarating rid to date. The sheer speed and g-forces would be enough to make this a top-notch attraction but Disney does something that others have tried and only failed miserably at. Theme! As with any Disney attraction themeing is key. Rock ‘N Roller Coaster is no exception. There are a few other coasters out there that travel at higher speeds, but without the “magic” they’re nothing more then a giant erector set. Other theme parks have come a long way in recent years, but as with people even theme parks need somebody to look up to. – Boe

In January, I went to the Hollywood Studios and got to ride the Rock N’ Roller Coaster. It was nothing less than awesome. The special effects, neon lights, complex inversions and especially the 0-60 mph launch make this one one of the best coasters that I’ve been on. Great job, Disney! – Chip

“UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE!!!!!! The thrill of the twists and turns are great and the darkness adds to it. The idea of rock being the background helps make this a fantastic ride.” – Frank

Fantastic acceleration at the start of the ride. 0-60 mph in 2.8 Seconds. A must for roller coaster fans – Dave

“Awesome – worth the wait and the trip!” -Karen

“The Rock-N-Roller Coaster became my number one ride at Disney. Cruising at 60 mph with Aerosmith playing in your ears, going up-side down, twisting, turning: What a rush!!!!” – Rodney
