Did you sense a disturbance in the Force? No need to be worried, it’s probably just built up anticipation for Star Wars Weekends, which starts this weekend and runs through June 15, 2014. Hollywood Studios will be teeming with Star Wars characters, Star Wars fans, Star Wars celebrities, Star Wars shows, Star Wars parades, Star Wars fireworks, and Star Wars food. Is that enough Star Wars for you? Fine, there’s even a video of a Darth Vader cupcake going all sith lord on some WDW pastries. So read on for all the details of everything at 2014 Star Wars Weekends at Hollywood Studios.


Star Wars Celebrities

Each weekend, a different lineup of actors who have played roles in the Star Wars saga will make appearances at Hollywood Studios. They will be in the Legends of the Force Motorcade at 11:30am, and appear in talk shows at the Premiere Theatre. Most of the celebrities will be available for autographs, but you must get a Fastpass reservation ahead of time to get an autograph.

Weekend II – May 23-25

Talk Shows and Presentations at the Premiere Theater

Located on the Streets of America, the Premiere Theatre will host several presentations during Star Wars Weekends. This will be a great way for fans to get some more insight into the making of the films and TV series, as well as a way to learn more about the actors themselves. Fastpass+ will be available for these presentations.

  • Stars of the Saga Talk Show – A 30 minute talk show with actors from the Star Wars films.
  • Behind the Force – Star Wars: Rebels – A sneak peek of the upcoming Star Wars: Rebels, with some of the people involved with the show.
  • Obi-Wan and Beyond – James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan in The Clone Wars, takes audiences on a journey through his career of voice acting. Taylor is said to do 200 different characters/voices during this presentation.
  • Visit to the Maul with Ray Park – Darth Maul himself will give a martial arts demonstration.
  • An Ewok’s Tale – My Short Story starring Warwick Davis – The prolific actor reenacts his entire life in this humorous performance.

Symphony in the Stars

New this year, at 9:30 each night, the skies will light up to John Williams’ iconic score in this fireworks spectacular. Fireworks at Hollywood Studios have become a rare occurance, so definitely take this opportunity at Star Wars Weekends.

Ideal viewing will be on Hollywood Boulevard, in front of the Sorcerer Mickey’s hat.

Shop til you drop at Darth’s Mall

Located between Toy Story Midway Mania and the Studio Backlot Tour, Darth’s Mall will be your source for exclusive Star Wars Weekends merchandise. Notable items include:

Star Wars Character Dining

The Star Wars Dine-In Galactic Breakfast at the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater Restaurant will feature characters from the films, including Darth Vader. Breakfast will cost $47.99 for adults and $29.99 for children.

Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine at Hollywood & Vine will feature classic Disney characters dressed up as characters from Star Wars at this interactive dinner buffet. Dinner is $55.99 for adults and $33.99 for children. Add $3 to the price if it is part of the Fantasmic Dinner package.

Both Character Dining experiences will run from May 4th until June 15, 2014.
