Here’s a question you may not have considered until this very moment: Are you ready to dine like a toy? Roundup Rodeo BBQ, the world’s first Toy Story table service restaurant, will open in Spring 2023 at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios theme park. This restaurant was initially scheduled to open in late 2022, but has been delayed.
Disney Imagineering has shared a first look at the interior, theming, and story behind this unique dinning experience.

What is Roundup Rodeo BBQ’s Theming and Story?
A quick refresher on Toy Story Land’s theme: you are shrunk down to the size of an Army soldier toy, and you are exploring Andy’s backyard. As honorary toys, you will be able to enter the dining room and discover the whimsical restaurant that Andy has created for his toys to dine in. The Wild West setting is filled with imaginative touches, like a steam train supported by colored pencils and a house of cards described as “suspiciously impressive.” You’ll also find game boards featuring favorite Toy Story characters and hand-drawn audience members in the stands of the rodeo arena. The theming is appropriately playful and fits right in with the rest of Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios.
Which Toy Story characters will play a prominent role in this culinary hootenanny? The restaurant features the rodeo’s star performers in the dining room: Jessie, Trixie, and Bo Peep with her trio of sheep Billy, Goat, and Gruff. These figures and artwork are unique to the restaurant and can only be found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Imagineers worked closely with animators and designers at Pixar to bring characters and art from the films to life in new ways. In fact, they even designed a full comic about Woody’s adventures, which you’ll see that Andy has used as decoration on the dining room ceiling.
What type of food will be served at Roundup Rodeo BBQ?
As it says in the name, this Toy Story-themed table service restaurant will serve American barbecue-inspired comfort foods. The platters of house-smoked meats and variety of sides will be served family style.
Be on the lookout for some toy-sized sweet treats as well.
