As you may know, Downtown Disney is currently being transformed into Disney Springs. The district will remain a destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment, but the whole environment is being reimagined from the ground up. In the video above, Executive Creative Director Theron Skees shares Walt Disney Imagineering’s thought process for the new storyline behind Disney Springs. The inspiration appropriately draws from the development and expansion of waterfront towns throughout Florida.
In addition to learning a bit more of Imagineering’s process, the video shows off some beautiful 3D renderings of Disney Springs, which looks to be a step above what is currently available at Downtown Disney. The Landing and Town Center, the next two big phases of Disney Springs, will open in early 2015 and 2016. Two new parking garages will be added as well.
Are you looking forward to Disney Springs?
