What do a courageous band of animals, a summer-loving snowman, and a Darth Vader fanboy have in common? They are all part of three new (and thankfully separate) character experiences coming to Walt Disney World this spring. Read on to find out more about encountering The Lion Guard, Olaf, and Kylo Ren at Walt Disney World.
Lion Guard Adventure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This new experience at Animal Kingdom is based on Disney Jr.’s new hit show “The Lion Guard,” which follows Kion, the second-born son of Simba and Nala from “The Lion King.” In the show, Kion is tasked with protecting the Pride lands by forming the Lion Guard with four of his friends: Beshte the hippo, Bunga the honey badger, Fuli the cheetah, and Ono the egret. In The Lion Guard Adventure, youngsters and their parents will be tasked with locating character statues of all five Lion Guard members hidden throughout the park. The adventure culminates with a meet and greet opportunity with Rafiki at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. Conservation Station also will feature Lion Guard music and videos. Guests can experience this attraction right now.
Olaf at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
While Disney World guests have been able to see Olaf in various parades and shows for awhile now, starting this spring guests will be able to meet the ubiquitous snowman in a setting Olaf is sure to love. Yes, Olaf will be enjoying sunny, summery weather at the Celebrity Spotlight by Echo Lake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This is sure to be one cool meet and greet when it debuts this spring.
Kylo Ren at Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
On the opposite end of the heat spectrum, guests are now able to come up close and personal with everyone’s favorite hot-headed baddie from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Guests can encounter the powerful Dark Side acolyte at Star Wars Launch Bay at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Kylo Ren appropriately replaces Darth Vader’s meet and greet. After all, he promised to finish what Darth started.
