Disney World fans: this is the news you’ve been waiting for. Disney World is finally resuming sales of all Annual Passes, after sales have been paused for over a year for most tiers. As of this writing, only the lowest tier (Pixie Pass) and renewals are available for sale.
All WDW Annual Passes will go back on sale on April 20, 2023. This marks the first time since the end of 2021 that all tiers of Annual Passes will be available for new Passholders. Current Passholders will be also able to upgrade their existing passes to a higher tier outside their renewal window, and Disney Vacation Club Members will have a chance to purchase one of the passes a week early.
In this article, we will break down the differences between each Disney World Annual Pass, and we’ll let you know how you can purchase them.

Is an Annual Pass right for your Disney World adventure?
With the resumption of Annual Pass sales, you’ll probably be asking the question “Should I buy an Annual Pass?”
Disney World Annual Passes provide a great deal if you plan on visiting Disney World more than once during a year. With theme park parking included plus significant discounts on food, hotel rooms, and merchandise, it can sometimes be worth it to get one Annual Pass for your party even if you only visit for one week a year. The discounts can be that good.
However, Disney World has made the purchase of Annual Passes much more difficult in recent years. The Annual Pass program was paused during 2020, and the highest tiers of the new passes were only made available for a few months in 2021.
This means that the we don’t know how easy it will be to purchase an Annual Pass beyond April 20. It’s possible that Annual Passes will be readily available to purchase all year long. However, it’s also possible that this batch of Annual Passes will sell out, and it may be months (or even years) before passes are available again.
If you’re interested in buying a new Annual Pass, you’ll want to be ready on April 20.
If you have questions on whether an Annual Pass is right for your Disney World plans, we recommend contacting our friends at Vacationeer. They are authorized Disney Travel Planners, and they can let you know if Annual Passes will save you money on your upcoming Disney World vacation.
