Disney World has already loosened Park Pass Reservation rules once this year by allowing Annual Passholders to (mostly) enter the parks without a reservation after 2 PM. However, along with the return of the Disney Dining Plan, Disney World announced another hugely welcome development today: Park Pass Reservations rules are going to be majorly relaxed starting in 2024.

Here’s everything you need to know about Disney World’s upcoming theme park reservation changes.

Removing Theme Park Reservation Requirements for Date-Based Tickets

Spaceship Earth Glowing at Night - EPCOT in Fall - Best Weeks at Disney WorldThe biggest change coming is that theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. When purchasing your ticket, you’ll simply select a start date for January 9, 2024, or later, complete your purchase, and you’ll be all set! Keep in mind that for other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may still be required to help manage attendance.

Be sure to check Disney World’s website or app to see which tickets need reservations before your trip.

Introducing “Good-to-Go Days” for Annual Passholders and Cast Members

Disney is also planning to introduce “good-to-go days” in 2024, offering select days on which Annual Passholders and Disney cast members can visit Walt Disney World theme parks without needing a park reservation. These good-to-go days will be rolled out on an ongoing basis, giving passholders and cast members even more flexibility in planning their park visits. Good-to-go days may vary by park, and pass block-out dates and capacity limitations will continue to apply as they do today. Stay tuned for more details on good-to-go days as they become available.

Extended Park Time for Disney Resort Hotel Guests

Disney World Early Entry - Hollywood Studios

In addition to these updates, Disney will continue to offer the popular early theme park entry for all Disney Resort hotel guests and extended evening hours for guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villas through 2024. These benefits give guests more time to explore and enjoy the magic of Walt Disney World. Valid theme park admission and a Resort ID are required to take advantage of these perks.

These exciting updates to the theme park reservation process promise to make planning your Disney vacation even more enjoyable and hassle-free. Don’t forget that bookings for 2024 visits open on May 31, 2023, so be sure to reach out to our friends at Vacationeer to help book your next Disney World vacation.
