Disney World’s mask rules have been like they are everywhere else: frequently changing.

Off of the heels of the Federal Mask Mandate being struck down in the United States, Disney World just made a big update to their mask rules, making them optional for all guests. However, Disney still recommends masks for certain guests who are over 2 and older. In this article, I’m going to spell out WDW’s most up-to-date mask rules.

  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

Here are a few examples of face coverings that are not allowed: neck gaiters, open chin triangle bandanas, face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind. Costume masks also do not count.

I have a few face mask recommendations:

Recommended Item: Official Disney Masks –
While wearing a face mask isn’t fun, at least you can wear a fun design while visiting WDW. Disney has a ton of great designs that feature your favorite characters, from Black Panther to Baby Yoda. I’ve found that these run a bit small, so I would order a size larger than you think you need.

Recommended Item:
KN95 Mask (Amazon) – If you’re looking for the most protection, I recommend getting a KN95 mask. This is ideal for when you need to be indoors for extended periods of time.

When will the mask rules go away at Disney World?
