Should I go to the Disney On Broadway concert at EPCOT? – Guide2WDW’s Take
However, while your enjoyment of the other concerts may vary based on how much you know and like the band that’s performing, Disney On Broadway has more broad appeal to everyone visiting Disney World.
You may not be familiar with the performers’ names on the lineup, but most likely youl know the songs from The Lion King, Frozen, Aladdin, and Mary Poppins they’re performing.
So if you’re visiting Disney World during January and February, we definitely recommend taking time to check out the Disney On Broadway concerts — even if you aren’t a big Broadway fan.
Tips for Seeing Disney On Broadway at EPCOT
Shows will be different from night to night. With the concert series alternating between six pairs of performers, these performances will be different from night to night. Also, the set list tends to change from performance to performance within the same night. If you really love seeing Broadway performers singing Disney songs, it’s worth going to multiple performances, as each one will be different.
What songs to expect at Disney on Broadway. The performers will include songs from the shows they performed in, so if you’re a big fan of Frozen or The Lion King, try to check out Disney On Broadway on the nights performers from those shows are singing. However, the set list is not limited to the show they performer is associated with.
How early should you line up? We recommend getting to the America Gardens Theater at least 30 minutes before the show starts. Crowds during this time of year are lower, and demand for these shows aren’t quite as high as Eat to the Beat or Candlelight Processional, but seating is limited!
Save money on a dining package. We really love any counter service option for a dining package for a show like Candlelight Processional. Regal Eagle Smokehouse is your only option, but it’s a great option. For $35, you get an appetizer, entree, dessert, drink, and a great seat for the show. Plus, you don’t need to make a reservation for this – just show up to the restaurant and ask. The only downside is that same day packages may not be available on peak days.
No reservations available for dining packages? Check out Regal Eagle Smokehouse. This counter service restaurant only offer same day packages, and it’s much cheaper than the table service options.
Don’t want to line up? The America Gardens Theater is an open amphitheater, so you can hear and see the show pretty much anywhere from the American Adventure Pavilion. While Cast Members will prevent people from standing in the walkway directly behind the theater’s seating, you can still enjoy the show from elsewhere in the pavilion. It won’t be the best viewing experience, but it’s a great option if you don’t want to commit to lining up and watching the whole show.
