Fantasmic is finally reopening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Closed since March 2020, the nighttime spectacular will return to Disney World with a new sequence, enhanced effects, and a longer runtime.

When does Fantasmic return to Hollywood Studios?
Fantasmic will reopen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting November 3, 2022.
Everything new coming to Fantasmic in 2022
When Fantasmic reopens at Disney World, it will feature a new “Disney Heroes” sequence featuring characters from Aladdin, Moana, Frozen, and Mulan.
From Disney:
“In bringing Fantasmic! back, we have a brand-new scene that we’re calling our Disney Heroes scene,” says Matthew Hamel, show director for Disney Live Entertainment. “We get to see some new characters introduced to Fantasmic!, and we get to show their stories in a new, unique way utilizing a combination of projections, lasers and new lighting.”
“Through this entire sequence, we go on a journey with our heroes. We see them faced with a decision, and how hard that can be for them, then watch as they find that strength within themselves to push through in a truly spectacular way,” said Hamel.
The new heroes sequence features a high-energy Aladdin chase with stunts never before seen on the “Fantasmic!” stage, a powerful scene with Elsa set to the song “Show Yourself” that is sure to thaw the most frozen of hearts, and stirring moments with Pocahontas, Moana and Mulan. Fun fact: To help choreograph the authentic Chinese martial arts you’ll see in Mulan’s scene, the creative team brought in Mimi Chan – the original muse and model animators used when bringing the character of Mulan to life for the 1998 animated film.
This new version of Fantasmic will also feature enhanced effects, including lighting, lasers, and music. The runtime of the show is also slightly longer. Fantasmic will be 29 minutes long when it reopens, 3 minutes longer than its previous runtime.
Fantasmic Showtimes
Disney World has released showtimes for Fantasmic’s return. Guests will have two chances each night for the first few days to see the new version of Fantasmic, before the show returns to one performance a night.
Here is the schedule for Fantasmic for the rest of 2022.
- November 3-7: 8pm, 9:30pm
- November 8 – November 13: 8pm
- November 14 – December 31: 9pm
As with all of Disney’s showtimes, these are subject to change. Check the My Disney Experience app or the times guide for Hollywood Studios to confirm Fantasmic showtimes for your Disney World trip.
Fantasmic Dining Packages – Reservations, Participating Restaurants, Price, and Starting Dates
Available starting November 30, Fantasmic dining packages will return slightly later than the show itself. Dining packages will be available at select restaurants, providing guaranteed priority seating for the show.
Reservations open for Fantasmic Dining Packages starting October 26. As a reminder, Disney World dining reservations typically become available at 5:30 am 60 days ahead of time.

Fantasmic Dining Packages include the following:
- An entrée and appetizer or dessert at select full-service restaurants or one (1) full buffet (where applicable), along with a non-alcoholic beverage
- One voucher for guaranteed seating at Fantasmic! in a reserved area
