Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to Magic Kingdom on March 9Festival of Fantasy - Dragon - Disney World Parade

Magic Kingdom has been without a regular daily parade for almost two years now, as the park stopped running performances of the Festival of Fantasy parade due to COVID-19. Guests wondering when the daytime parade at Magic Kingdom would return now have their answer.

Festival of Fantasy will resume performances at Magic Kingdom starting March 9, 2022. The parade features impressive and fanciful floats, including a massive steampunk Maleficent Dragon which acts as the iconic centerpiece of the parade.

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade Debuts February 11

Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade - Magic Kingdom

In lieu of a big parade, Magic Kingdom has been running several character cavalcades. These mini-parades are a chance to see favorite Disney and Pixar characters along the parade route, which runs from Splash Mountain to Main Street. Even with the return of the Festival of Fantasy, cavalcades thankfully aren’t going anywhere. At Destination D23 last year, Disney World announced that Magic Kingdom will be getting its biggest cavalcade yet with the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.

This will include characters like the Incredibles, Moana, Merida, Panchito, José, Nick, Judy, Baloo, and King Louie.
