Connections Cafe & Eatery, EPCOT’s newest quick service restaurant featuring a Starbucks, will open on April 27, according to Disney Parks Blog. The restaurant soft opened today, offering just Starbucks drinks, which was a welcome sight for EPCOT guests who had been deprived of Frappuccinos for 3 entire days.
Connections Cafe & Eatery replaces The Electric Umbrella and Fountainview Cafe, both of which had closed at EPCOT in 2019. This opening is the latest step in EPCOT’s park-wide transformation.
Where is Connections in EPCOT?
Connections Eatery is located in World Celebration, near the Creations gift shop and Club Cool. It is located near the former Electric Umbrella location, on the left hand side as you pass Spaceship Earth.
What type of food does Connections Cafe & Eatery offer?
As EPCOT has a theme of the world coming together, Connections offers a modern take on international cuisine.
The fast casual restaurant features a selection of multinational burgers, including the French Bistro Burger, the Bahn Mi Burger, and the Mediterranean Burger.
Connections also offers two very intriguing Asian-inspired dishes: a General Tso Chicken Salad and a Curry Spice Pizza.
And for dessert, guests can try a delectable looking Liege Waffle.
Connections Cafe & Eatery also has a full Starbucks, offering the complete Starbucks menu.
We’re really excited to try Disney World’s newest quick service restaurant. It looks like there’s a lot on the menu that raises the bar versus typical counter service dining, and Disney’s track record with new quick service restaurants has been excellent over the past few years.
A glimpse at the design of Connections Cafe & Eatery
Disney World also shared some preview images of Connections Cafe.
From Disney Parks Blog
Called “Global Gathering,” this magnificent piece of art depicts the heart of this restaurant – people from around the world gathering around food. It’s one of the largest murals Walt Disney Imagineering has ever created, and if you look closely, you’ll notice the scenes blend seamlessly from sunrise to sunset. I could spend all day admiring the details!
Connections Cafe & Eatery also includes several nods to EPCOT’s history, including this design of Walt Disney’s original plans for the EPCOT city on the floor.
