Disney World has made managing dining reservations during your vacation much easier. As reported by Scott Gustin, Disney World has updated the My Disney Experience app to allow same day dining reservation cancellations.

Previously, guests could only cancel dining reservations 24 hours ahead of time via the app.

Update November 17, 2022 – The Disney Parks Twitter account has confirmed this change as Disney World’s official policy.

Disney World Same Day Dining Reservation Cancellations – Must Know Info

Disney World has a no-show fee of $10 per person and up for dining reservations, so it’s very important to cancel dining reservations if you are not going to use them. If you need to cancel your dining reservation, you can now cancel up to 2 hours ahead of time using the My Disney Experience app.

This does not apply to Hoop Dee Do Revue, Monsieur Paul, and Victoria & Alberts, which each have their own cancellation policies.

If you are cancelling within the 2 hour window, the Disney World app will prompt you to call. If there is an emergency that is preventing you from showing up to the dining reservation (such as a member of your party getting sick), Disney will typically waive the no-show fee.
