Disney Parks just announced via Twitter that one of Disney World’s hidden gems is receiving an update for the big 50th Anniversary celebration. The Electric Water Pageant will be receiving a new float to commemorate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary. The float will be shaped like Cinderella Castle, featuring a prominent 50 in the middle.
Additionally, it will feature a version of the 50th Anniversary Anthem song, “The Magic is Calling.” Disney says the new song will bookend the traditional show.

The Electrical Water Pageant is one of our favorite not-so-secret secrets at Disney World. The Electric Water Pageant takes place two times nightly on the Seven Seas Lagoon, and can be viewed from the Magic Kingdom entrance plaza or any of the monorail resorts. The whole thing has a very 1970s feel, and the music is just perfection. The fact that this small show at Disney World is receiving some love and attention is pretty exciting to me, personally.
Hopefully Disney will be adding some additional surprises to their 50th Anniversary additions. You can read about everything new coming to Disney World for the 50th Anniversary here.
What do you think about this new float? Is it enough to draw you to the Seven Seas Lagoon at night? Let me know in the comments below.
