For as long as I can remember, my family has been going to Disney World. When my sister and I were young, my parents loved taking us to the theme parks and see how our imaginations would light up with joy. I also remember receiving the latest Disney World VHS tape from Disney. My mom, sister, and I would watch the video on the latest attractions and shows at Disney World over and over until the tapes wore out. It was a great way to learn what we could look forward to on our annual trip to WDW, and also it was a great way to keep my sister and I excited and scratch that Disney itch between trips.

I’m older now, but my family still goes to Disney World every year. These trips are to relive memories from when my sister and I were kids, but these trips are also to create new memories for my family which now includes my niece and nephew. Much like when we were young, we still love receiving Disney’s official planning video. Much has changed: it’s now available as a DVD or digital stream, and the production quality is much higher than it was in the 90s. But that feeling of excitement and wonder that watching the video before your vacation gives you, especially for my young niece and nephew, still exists.

If you are planning your first trip to Disney World, I definitely recommend signing up for the free Disney World DVD. It’s a great introduction to what Disney World has to offer.
