Lightning Lane is designed for any Disneyland guest who wants to skip the regular line at the most popular rides. We consider Lightning Lane at Disneyland to be worth it for guests planning a big vacation to the theme park resort (the value proposition goes down fast for Magic Keyholders and regular visitors). However, understanding the pricing and access options can be a bit confusing. In this article, we’ll cover the price ranges for Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane attractions, as well as the updated pricing for specific rides.

Update 3-21-23: This guide has been updated with the most up-to-date information about Lightning Lane at Disneyland.

Quick Comparison of Genie+ vs. Individual Lightning Lane

Radiator Springs Racers - Disneyland MaxPass
is a paid daily service that provides one-at-a-time access to the Lightning Lane at numerous attractions around Disneyland. You can make one reservation at a time and continue making reservations throughout the day once your previous reservation is used or 120 minutes have passed.

Individual Lightning Lane is available for a few of Disneyland’s newest and most popular attractions that aren’t included in Genie+. You can purchase an a la carte reservation for these attractions, with prices varying based on the attraction and the day. Individual Lightning Lane is only available at three attractions at Disneyland currently.

Key differences to remember:

  1. There is no overlap between Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane attractions.
  2. You don’t need to purchase Genie+ to buy Individual Lightning Lane reservations.
  3. With Individual Lightning Lane, you can choose your preferred time from the available slots, while Genie+ only offers the first available time slot.
